Delaine, a Merino sheep breed from the Belle Fourche region of South Dakota, USA, is known for its fine and elastic Merino wool.
When I first got Delaine, I was surprised that it was "Merino" hair, different from the usual Merino silky appearance, Delaine was like cotton cotton foggy, slender fibers with a slight luster.
Woolen Spun's 2ply spinning method makes a roll of 50 grams of wire feel like a marshmallow, very bulky, Q-elastic, full of full air feeling.
Because Delaine has the elasticity unique to merino wool, the fabric has a light stiffness and soft touch at the same time, and the performance of twist or ribbed and other textures is very three-dimensional.
So in works like Ridge Sweater that use the basic stitching techniques of the upper and lower needles and ribs, Delaine's characteristics can be said to be perfect!
But it should be noted that the way Delaine twists, the thickness of the wire is not very consistent, and because she is too bulky, pay special attention to the hand strength when weaving, and do not unpack it many times, so as not to become loose and lose elasticity!
In addition, Hiromiさん uses fingering, and Delaine is close to sport, so I enlarged the needle size to 3.75mm, and size 2 just used 7 twists.
