Arapawa, a special breed of sheep with large curly horns, is native to an island of the same name off the coast of New Zealand.

The Arapawa, a sheep species related to Merino wool, is said to have evolved into a hardy wild breed that was abandoned by a whaling ship long ago.

Arapawa's wool comes in rich shades of brown, black, grey and cream white. Stone Wool uses its natural coat color variation to spun a warm brown tweed wire that feels quite soft, dry, light and has a high-grade wool texture!
