【 Brand Story 】
LANIVENDOLE - A dialect of Florence in Italy that refers to the woman who sells yarn, lanivendole is also a woolen brand founded by Stefania and Guilia.
During the years they taught the art of hand spinning and weaving, they traveled all over Italy to gain insight into the unique wool varieties and the work of the textile farms, during which time the idea of promoting these precious fibers and textile technologies planted seeds in their hearts, and after participating in the Edinburgh Yarn Festival one year, they decided to realize this dream, and Lanivendole was born.
They founded this small woolen yarn company in Geneva, Italy, with the goal of creating and producing wire with a unique personality and artistic temperament.
Working with local smallholder farmers and small textile mills, they collect high-quality wool and wool from their farms every year, transport them to the textile mills to spin wool, and then dye them by hand at the Lanivendole workshop. This short-chain production model is very important for them, so that their wire production sources and processes are 100% traceable, and they can effectively control every stage, ensuring that every yarn produced is of the highest quality.
Due to the difference in wool production, sheep size and the production capacity of the textile mill every year, coupled with hand dyeing, each batch of wire is unique, just like wines of different vintages, each wire has its own story, just like the spirit of Lanivendole, even if it is niche, it can produce a unique wire with a rich manual soul.
