Pastoreta Shepherd 100% Native Wool Thread (Fingering)

Xolla Wool from Ripollesa, an endangered sheep breed from Catalonia, Spain, is non-ultra-washable, silicon-free, and is a very traditional, rustic, imperfect, 100% wool yarn full of strong sheep flavor and historical culture.

When weaving, the astringent feeling on the fingers is due to the rich mutton fat on the thread, and Woolen-spun's spinning method retains the elasticity and air of wool, as well as the fine weeds that appear from time to time.

After the fabric is washed, the astringency disappears and the hair blooms and becomes soft!

BUT THIS SOFTNESS IS NOT MERINO'S Q-SMOOTH SKIN-FRIENDLY, SENSITIVE SKIN PEOPLE, PLEASE EVALUATE TO CONFIRM ACCEPTABLE BEFORE BUYING :)

【Brand Story】

Xolla Wool, a unique thread from Ripollesa, an endangered sheep breed from Catalonia, Spain, is a unique brand born by founder Elena, who has lived in France and Spain for many years, and in the process of regaining knitting, hand-spinning and hand-dyeing thread, he was surprised to find that many wool in his hands is unique to the local sheep breed.

Many years ago, Elena returned to Spain and settled in Catalonia, observing how animal husbandry, a traditional Catalan industry, is linked to the local environment, culture and life.

Elena began to collect Ripollesa sheep wool, which was originally used to produce wool in Osona, which is now listed as an endangered breed, and cooperated with small semi-industrial family factories in various regions of the Iberian Peninsula to establish a wire industry chain that traces and assists related industries, promoting the core value of the brand "From Sheep to Skein".

Elena, who is also a weaving designer herself, has published in recent years at 52 weeks of Shawl, 52 weeks of Easy Knits, Laine Magazine, making ... and other knitting magazines have included works in them, and design a variety of works with their own wires!

If you like to explore the threads made from different sheep breeds in the world, or weavers who love her designs, come and try it!
