竹，具有快速生長的特性，碳排放低，對環境汙染的影響相對較低，而其纖維堅韌有彈性，非常適合作為編織針及相關工具的材料，也因此Seeknit的竹製編針可以做到最小2mm的細度，仍保持很棒的彈性而又不過於尖刺。
