Unpun Yarn is a new cable from Raincloud & Sage launched this spring (2022).

This kind of non-pruning wire has a high degree of challenge in single-strand weaving, and it is easy to break the thread with excessive force, but it does not need to be knotted, and the overlapping parts of the thread head can be directly docked to be braided again.
In addition to increasing the toughness of the wire, the fabric is still very fluffy and light, and the texture completely retains the simplicity and wool flavor of the wool, which is very warm, and when weaving, the smooth mutton fat is like a natural hand cream, which feels very warm!

Raincloud & Sage's wool is sourced from Germany through local textile mills in Germany, with a traceable production chain, and because of this, Unspun's yarn is a blend of undyed wool from a variety of local Germany sheep breeds, and each batch is produced and sold in limited quantities, which is completely unique.
Because it is difficult to fix the shade of a blend of wools, Ruth decided to name it after the "month" of production, with the first batch in April 2022 being 2104 and the second batch (this batch) being produced in September, so the number 2109- Cirrus.

Raincloud & Sage is a very, very small personal brand and the first yarn brand we have partnered with, for a small business committed to sustainability, transparency, diversity/inclusion and social ethics.
Raincloud & Sage was originally the founder Ruth's personal blog, as a Canada, she lived with her husband in Marburg, Germany, in the spring of 2017, she started a different life - learning spinning, and she was originally a fiber artist, so she decided to develop her own wool brand, from learning hand-spinning and hand-dyeing thread, to starting to collect small-scale farmers' wool from surrounding farmers, and finding textile mills and dyeing workshops by herself. In the past 5 years, we have successively developed several types of wires based on sustainable development. After years of experimentation and growth, R&S has grown into a small social enterprise committed to the core values of sustainable and inclusive development, non-discrimination, openness and transparency, and social welfare.
R&S CURRENTLY DEVELOPS 5 DIFFERENT TYPES OF WOOL THREADS, EACH OF WHICH IS PRODUCED LOCALLY, IN AN ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY AND SUSTAINABLE WAY OF PRODUCING YARNS THAT ARE NON-ULTRA-WASHABLE, NYLON-FREE, BIODEGRADABLE, AND SO ON, RESPECTING THE PEOPLE AND ANIMALS INVOLVED IN THE PRODUCTION PROCESS.
Because of the small scale of Raincloud & Sage, coupled with the balance between mom and career, it is difficult for R&S cables to supply all year round, and many commercial brands are surrounded by strong competitors, so it is very admirable to survive and maintain enthusiasm!
