Fonty|Nimbus・France, Portugal, Merino
Nimbus is a 100% eco-merino wool thread made from two regional varieties, "Mérinos d'Arles" and "Portuguese Merino".
From the plains of Provence, Arles Merino, whose coat is pure white, and Portuguese merino sheep, which are dark brown-black, are blended into a tweed light brown or brown filament, and dyed on this base, so that Nimbus has a gray tone, cloudy mottled feel, fluffy and elastic.
In addition to sourcing wool from origin, Fonty is also working with the Lainamac Association to raise these 2 varieties of Merino on Creuse's farms to reduce the impact of the carbon footprint.
(Note: The wool composition of this wire is the same as FADO, but Nimbus is a combed thread with a more detailed feel and a variety of colors in addition to the undyed primary color)
